Dr. Carla Bonilla’s presentation will focus on innovative approaches to microbiome stewardship education, utilizing themes and concepts developed by the Microbes and Social Equity group. Dr. Carla Bonilla is an Associate Professor of Biology at the University of San Diego. Her research focuses on the intersection of microbiology and environmental science, including studies on microbial community dynamics and the ecological roles of bacteria in diverse habitats. Dr. Bonilla’s work has contributed to a deeper understanding of microbial ecosystems and their implications for environmental health and sustainability.
