Microbes & Social Equity (MSE) is an international community dedicated to advancing research, education, collaboration, and dialogue at the intersection of microbiology and social equity. By bringing together researchers, educators, community partners, policymakers, and industry, MSE seeks to ensure that microbiological research and innovation benefit all communities.

Many organizations and research groups are already connected to MSE. Their researchers have spoken at MSE events, participated in working groups, contributed expertise and research, or work in areas closely aligned with the aims of the community.

Becoming an MSE Supporting Organization or Research Group is an opportunity to deepen that relationship while helping sustain and grow the MSE community.

Annual voluntary contributions support the coordination, communications, administration, and continued development of MSE. This support helps us create opportunities for collaboration, share research and resources, amplify diverse voices, and maintain an accessible international community.

As an MSE Supporting Organization or Research Group, you will receive:

Recognition within the MSE community as a group supporting the continued development of Microbes & Social Equity.
Complimentary Applied Microbiology International (AMI) memberships for nominated staff and students within your organization or research group (worth over $2,500).
Greater visibility for your work, with opportunities to submit research, news, events, job opportunities, and relevant resources for publication on the MSE website and promotion through appropriate MSE channels.
Opportunities to participate in MSE activities, including events, working groups, discussions, and future collaborative initiatives.
Connections across the MSE network, bringing your organization or research group closer to an international community working across microbiology and social equity.

Maintaining MSE's independence

Supporting MSE does not provide influence over its scientific, editorial, or strategic positions.

All submitted content is subject to editorial review and approval by the MSE Working Group and Applied Microbiology International. This ensures that material shared through MSE remains relevant to the aims and values of the initiative, regardless of financial support.

If you or your colleagues have spoken at an MSE event, participated in a working group, contributed research or expertise, or your research group or organization shares MSE's interests, becoming a supporter is a natural way to build on that connection.

Your contribution helps sustain the infrastructure behind MSE and enables the community to continue developing new activities, collaborations, and opportunities.
